“I've been to many Airbnb's at this point, and this is one of the best. The host was absolutely amazing. I needed to make video calls for work while I was there and he did bandwidth tests before I booked to make sure it would work for me. The WiFi was perfect for video calls. I had no issues working here. The place immediately felt like our home, but it was a great getaway in that we could watch a family of deer munch on the grass as we worked. The small neighborhood is tucked away in a hidden area. Completely safe. We went jogging down the street and it was beautiful. Also very close to a Kroger so you can grab food.”

“If we could give Matthew and his Hummingbird property a 10-star rating, we would. Everything from clear and quick communication to outstanding hospitality to the comforts of a stylish and modern home were beyond our expectations. Every amenity was thought of and any request was acknowledged—okay, we only had one request but within hours, our wish was granted. As a family, we cook a great deal and found the kitchen to be well equipped and functional. But our favorite part of staying here was enjoying the quiet of the neighborhood and the large, peaceful backyard. Sitting on the back deck, we even witnessed the occasional wandering deer. We will definitely stay here again when we’re back in town.”

From the minute I entered the beautiful neighborhood I knew I was going to have a relaxing stay. It’s a gorgeous, private setting with a HUGE yard. But not far from everything Louisville has to offer. The house was stunning. So much attention was given to every detail. I felt instantly at home and relaxed. I will definitely book again in the future!"

This 1950's bungalow has been transformed and ready to accommodate the modern day traveler from chic furnishings to tech/smart-home capabilities! It truly is a gem and the hosts responsiveness can't be beat. They even personalized our arrival with a warm welcome message on their writable back-painted glass board! This place is near the essentials such as grocery and coffee as well as a 10-15 minute drive to great restaurants (with outdoor spaces and take-out), the Parklands (great for hiking and biking) and of course, near the Bourbon Trail for all the Bourbon enthusiasts!”

"My wife and I wanted to stay close to home for our Anniversary, and this was the perfect place. The house is on a large piece of land feels separate from everything while not secluded. We were able to sit outside in the evening and in the morning and enjoy the quiet and the beautiful area. The neighborhood is within 5 minutes of several restaurants and stores, but again it feels so separate from any of that. The owners were accommodating and helpful, and the really did what they could to make our anniversary special. The house itself is updated and modern while still feeling very cozy. It had everything we needed, and was exactly as advertised. This is going to be our go-to whenever we want to get away but stay close to home. I would highly recommend!"

From the moment we entered the neighborhood, we knew our stay at Matthew’s house would be great. The house is located on a quiet street with very welcoming neighbors. There is so much love put in this house. As architects, we are very picky when it comes to Airbnb, but we were pleasantly surprised with the newly renovated interior. You can tell Matthew is a dedicated person, his personal touches are everywhere, from art on the wall to personal messages. The house was so clean and Matthew really thought of everything to make you feel at home. Our two young kids loved the gigantic backyard, the deers and cats walking around the deck, the little snack basket and talking to Alexa ☺️ Communication was also amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you Matthew!"

"We stayed in the winter (and only one night, sadly!) but this place is great! Fantastic yard & setting, as other reviewers have said the attention to detail was wonderful. Everything was thoughtful, findable (didn't have to search through EVERY cabinet/closet to find basics, although our kids did anyway), clean and organized. Will definitely try to stay again -- very kid-friendly house."
